Fishing Has No BoundariesFond du Lac Chapter
In 2015, we hosted the first winter event. Some said we were nuts, but we had big ideas. We braved the cold and took some of our FHNB participants out - snow suits on, hand warmers ready, hands on the spear, and eyes on the water - to experience the legendary sturgeon spearing experiences on opening day.
We're the first FHNB chapter to attempt this feat. Some say we're the only group in the world...I guess you could call us trendsetters.
After the spearing ends, have a burger, watch the kite sailors, watch a snowmobile or motorcycle race, listen to the band, strike up a conversation over a beverage, share you 'fish story'....heck, whatever you do, just stick around. There is plenty to do during this event and know when you drop a buck or two, your money is helping support anglers with disabilities. We think that's kinda cool.
Stayed tuned. The 2020 (February 7 - 8) event will be here before you know it!
Here is the 2019 schedule (2020 will be available soon, but will look similar to this one). Enjoy as little or as much as you like. We'll be there all day, so we'd love the company.

At the heart of sturgeon spearing mayhem...on the ice, where it ALL happens! Find us right of the on-ramp to the ice by Sunset Bar & Grill. We'll be just over to your left. If you find yourself at the snowmobile races, turn toward shore. If you find yourself my the motorcycles, back up a little bit. Regardless, we hope you find us. We'd love to chatty chat.
